* How to Raise an Adult: Preparing Your Kid for Success
Julie Lythcott-Haimes, author of How to Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Over-parenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid for Success highlights ways in which over-parenting harms children, parents, and society at large. While empathizing with parental hopes and fears, she offers practical alternative strategies that underline the importance of allowing children to make mistakes and develop resilience, resourcefulness, and inner determination.
Due to the high interest in hearing Julie Lythcott-Haims speak on How to Raise an Adult, KMVT15 recorded this event. Here is the video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot4Sqc9FucQ
* Through enriching presentations from local and national experts on topics of interest to parents, faculty and staff, the Parent Education Speaker Series seeks to contribute to the academic, physical and emotional health of students.
